I have been telling stories onscreen for two decades.
I began my tenure at ABC News as an assistant to the legendary Peter Jennings, and went on to become one of his lead producers (and Charles Gibson’s after him). Over the years, I’ve written, produced, and directed hundreds of short- and long-form segments on a vast range of topics. Whether creating a board game to explain how the Iowa caucus works for World News Tonight; recounting the story of imprisoned female activists in Saudi Arabia for PEN America; or exploring the history of the World Trade Center through a sensory lens for Nightline; I approach every story with curiosity, creativity and empathy.
As a lead anchor producer at World News Tonight, I produced dozens of “Person of the Week” segments; filed feature reports from across the country, and produced extensive election coverage, including profiles of 12 presidential candidates including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John McCain.
As senior producer for ABC News’ flagship broadcast, I led feature story development, evaluated pitches, brainstormed with producers and correspondents and oversaw stories from concept to creative development to broadcast on a daily basis (winning an Emmy Award in the process). I spearheaded the launch of the signature “Made in America” series, coordinated the five-day “Hunger at Home” initiative which raised 250k for Feeding America; reimagined the elder care series “Families on the Brink” and produced the “Saving the Middle Class” series with Diane Sawyer.
I’m proud to have created original short documentaries on behalf of ABC News to highlight the extraordinary work of the International Women’s Media Foundation; the Committee to Protect Journalists; and PEN America.
In recent years, I created, developed and implemented a network-wide strategy to showcase the best ABC News content, curating hundreds of hours of television and digital content annually—a project that resulted in more than 270 awards, including the Edward R. Murrow “Overall Excellence in Television” for five out of my seven years of involvement.
I’m deeply committed to finding the unique life of each story and amplifying the voices of those who deserve to be heard.
I live in Brooklyn with my husband, two sons and dog, Baxter. When I’m not roaming the streets with my camera, you’ll find me throwing pottery on the wheel, cooking in my kitchen, and—every few years—creating a giant mosaic out of old tiles.
